Rules of Composition Project
The beginning of the each new school year is filled with so much infectious enthusiasm and excitement that it is always so fun to start our first photography project of the year! My middle school students never cease to amaze me with their unique points of view and how they can capture amazing photos right from the start! We always begin with the Rules of Composition and our cameras in Automatic Mode so that we can get used to using our DSLR's and focus on what we see through the viewfinder. We use #Canon SL2 cameras and 18-55mm kit lenses to begin our journey in to photography. For this project, students explored 6 Rules of Composition - Bird's Eye View, Worm's Eye View, Leading Lines, Rule of Thirds, Filling the Frame, and Patterns. Here are some of the best photos from the project:
When not taking photos of family and friends or traveling around the world, I can be found in my classroom at Eagle Peak Middle School! Teaching has always been my passion and it is amazing being able to share my passion for photography and design with my students.
