I've thought long and hard about whether or not to do this post, but in an effort to showcase the real and difficult parts of life, here I go. We lost a baby this month. It was early in the pregnancy, but I had spent two and a half months preparing my heart to meet our newest little one. It has been hard both emotionally and physically.
I know so many women that have or are still struggling with infertility and miscarriages, and as I get older I am starting to realize that it is a common, though often unspoken, struggle. So I want to put myself out there, to let others know that I have a new understanding of the blessing that is the ability to have a family. I hug mine a little tighter these days, thanking God for His blessings and His comfort during difficult times.
This is in remembrance of you, little one.

When not taking photos of family and friends or traveling around the world, I can be found in my classroom at Eagle Peak Middle School! Teaching has always been my passion and it is amazing being able to share my passion for photography and design with my students.
